This course is designed to train individuals on what is necessary to operate as a travel agent working from home, or as an outside Sales Representative.

COURSE COVERS
  • PRODUCT: Emphasis is placed on the making reservations, handling bookings, price calculations, the use of timetables, travel guides, brochures and industry handbooks, suppliers, consolidators, and online webbooking.
    - Tour Operators, Cruises, Hotels, Car Rentals, Rail, Insurance, Charters, E-ticketing, etc.

  • SALES: A broadly-based commercial training which includes the following topics -> Introduction to Sales, Knowledge of Client, Product & Competition, Stage of Selling, Communication, Use of Sales Arguments, Selling Points, Behaviour Analysis, Marketing, and Social Media Marketing.

  • TICO: TICO's Role in the Travel Industry, Travel and the Law, Before & After the client travels, Ontario Compensation fund, Registration Requirements, Financial and Record-Keeping Requirements, Complaints, Investigations and Offences, and Invoicing the client Agents obligation.
