INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

3 - DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Ensure you have following documents for Admission process:

  • a) Copy of your High School Diploma or higher Education. If not in English, it has to be translated and assessed by an Assessment Organization, such as WES (www.wes.org/ca) or ICAS (www.icascanada.ca)
    Alternatively, if the International Student does not have his/her credentials assessed, they can apply as a mature student, and take the Mature Student Test at college location.
  • b) Proof of English Proficiency, for more details click here.
  • c) Photo ID - Passport Copy
  • You must submit your documents online at https://www.iitravel.com/upload/formpage.html or via email: iit@iitravel.com.
    Documents are assessed by the Student Counsellor. Upon positive assessment, the counsellor will contact you to finalize your Enrolment Contract.

4 - ENROLLMENT FEE
  • 25% of the total fees. Non-refundable fee: CAN $ 500.00.
  • PAYMENTS ABROAD

    We accept international payments via the CIBC International Student Pay!

    After finalizing your payment you will receive a Letter Of Acceptance - LOA.

    5 - APPLYING FOR A STUDY PERMIT

    You have to submit the letter of acceptance along with your visa application form at the nearest Canadian Embassy/High Commission or the Consulate to apply for study permit. Visit www.cic.gc.ca / to find the Case Processing Centre near to you.

    If there is any delay with your Study Visa application, you must contact your Student Counsellor in case you need to postpone your start date.

    PROOF OF FUNDS: a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) can help you meet the requirements of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada guidelines faster by showing proof of funds.     6 - STUDY PERMIT APPROVAL

    As soon you receive an update on your Visa Application you must inform your Student Counsellor via email along with a digital copy of the permit or any letter from Immigration.
    The International Institute of Travel & Business is obliged to inform Immigration if you change your status for any reason whatsoever.

    7 - STUDENT ASSISTANCE - INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE

    Health insurance is mandatory for all international students. The International Institute of Travel & Business is partner with Astor Travels which is an agency in the school that can assist you with your medical insurance.

    Below you can check the approximate prices for available plans:

    1 YEAR COVERAGE: Plus International = CAD $614.00

    6 MONTHS COVERAGE: Plus International = CAD $321.20

    8 - STUDENT ASSISTANCE - ACCOMMODATION

    Accommodation options for international students in Canada are:

    • Homestays, Renting, Student Residents, etc.;

    You may consider your budget in order to determine where you would like to stay during your time here in Canada.
    Prices can vary depending on the type of accommodation you choose, the city you’re based in, for example. You might consider what kind of lifestyle you like and any other preferences that could influence your decision.

    9 - STUDENT ASSISTANCE - AIRPORT PICKUP

    We can arrange an airport pickup for you if you are interested. Students must request an airport pickup no less than one (1) week before arrival in Toronto, Canada. For information/quote, or if you have any questions, please contact iit@iitravel.com

    10 - ARRIVING IN CANADA

    As soon you are settled in Toronto, we welcome you to visit the College, where you can meet with your Student Advisor and college members for orientation. You will get familiar with the school facilities and we will assist you with any questions that you may have.
